Description
Materials Needed: 2-4 computers with 4 GB Ram
Suggested Length: 5 days (15 hours)
Ages: 9-12
This unique five day program offers students a chance to construct their own multimedia music video, using original or supplied narrative, artwork, photography, and music. The innovative class, developed at the Brookline Music School, provides the opportunity for children to experiment with different ways of telling a story. Each student will be given the chance to write an original story, poem, or piece of music, while illustrating the story using their choice of mediums. Students will narrate their story, by choosing to play an instrument, sing, or ask classmates to play written music or a directed improvisation. Students then bring all of these elements into iMovie to make a final presentation. No prior instruction in music composition or iMovie is needed. The five days of work can happen on either a daily or weekly basis.
